Baby teeth -we're still missing one

DD got her first seven teeth in the usual text-book order, at the usual time, between about 8 and 11 months. However, one of her lower lateral incisors has never appeared.

At 17 months she's now cutting all four of her first molars but there is still no sign of the 8th tooth. In fact the more I look at her three bottom teeth the more they appear to be central in her mouth, rather than having two on one side and only one on the other.

Has this happened to anyone else's dc? Is this ok? (Am I being a bit pfb here?)

My 18 month old DS was exactly the same until about 2 days ago. I can just see it breaking through. Very late though!

Both my younger 2 children have the same lower incisor missing. They are 6 & 5 yrs and they are still no sign of them. Their dentist isn't bothered by it.

I have missing teeth, although in my case, I don't have four adult teeth. In fact, at least one of my aby teeth made it into my 40s. Hope your dd's tooth arrives, but it may not I guess.

Mine got both lateral incisors (bottom) at same time as canines at about 19m.
(Both us parents have small bottom jaws and middle 2 teeth 1 slightly behind other.)

My 15 month old has 2 bottom teeth, 4 at the top and 2 top molers, I hope he gets some more bottom teeth soon!

My twins both had all their pre molars before all the other front teeth at 17 months.

DD2 has an extra adult tooth. I had a milk tooth that never fell out, with no adult tooth underneath.

I'm sure there's lots of people who don't have the standard number of milk teeth.

My nephew has 2 middle bottom teeth missing confirmed by X-rays. He is 10 and still has the baby ones but when they come out will need orthodontic work to move the others forward.
