Help - 1yr old very clingy/crying ang grizzling ALL day

this has been going on for a few weeks now - my 13month old DS3 wants my constant attention every minute of the day. If i leave the room hr SCREAMS if i am not holding him he is unhappy and grizzly. If i get on the floor and play with him he is happy for a while but seems unable to play on his own. He barely goes near his toys - he is looking where i am the whole time. He is hanging on my leg frantically screaming and biting me as i write this.
It is so hard to give my other DS's and REAL attention. Even talking is hard as DS3 is always crying.
He is otherwise well - a good eater and sleeper. His sleep is the only break i get!

Mine is the same atm, I'm realy hoping it's a phase and that he'll grow out of it.

No advice, just thought I'd let you know your not alone!

I think they all go through this at 12 months or so. Has he just started to walk, or is he trying to walk? This was the time when DS was most grizzly. It was like he wanted to do something so badly and was so angry he couldn't quite manage it. Now he's walking, he's fine again. We were lucky and only got it in short bursts though. Does it help to know it's a phase?

Not being flippant or anything, but the clingy phase will pass. In the meantime try to enjoy the cuddles. My ds is 14 months and cuddling just gets in the way of his manic exploring. He doesn't sit still for 5 minutes. Yes he's very self sufficient and can entertain himself really well, but I'd love it if he came and sat on my lap occassionally!

Don't hate me but try ignoring him a little. My LO is an angel at nursery but can be v demanding at home because my partner and I can respond quickly. He is 13 months and when he misses a nap, can be a nightmare. I find that if he has a strop and I don't go to him, sometimes (only sometimes) he gets over it and moves on to destroying some other part of the house.
