Ignore him. It's another phase. The DTs did that for a while, I ignored them and it stopped.

Whenever they asked for something nicely I would praise them. It might not have come from the children in the garden. The wee tykes have a way of making their tantrums spectacular when they want.

Oh what a lovely phase this is!

We had this with dd2 (and just about every other variation on the tantrum spectrum). If I can ignore it I do and just walk away, as Mars says. If she does it at the table or somewhere else that's right in my face I'd put her outside the door, or in the corner, just to make the point that this is not an okay way to carry on.

But don't make a big scene over it, that just feeds the tantrum.

You just have to be consistent and stubborn mellowma. That's the key. It will pass... though it seems like an eternity, it will pass.

Oh and you're NOT useless.

Sorry, that made me laugh!

Bless him! I know that's not what you want to hear. That'll teach her, though she said such a good thing to him. She told him how lovely he looked and that it was a shame about the noise.

It will pass.....

Repeat after me....

It will pass....... It will pass.......
