yesterday I changed DDs nappy and put her in a sleepsuit before going out to the kitchen to get her some milk. Whilst I was at the fridge I heard the lid on the kitchen bin being opened and closed. DD who is 1 had picked up used nappy and followed me out to the kitchen and put nappy in the bin! I thought it was very cute and was very impressed with her domesticity (maybe there's hope for the next generation despite my slovenly ways!)
Any other stories that make you go Awww

She sounds gorgeous!

My DS (aged 14 months) is unexpectedly domesticated and loves tidying (doesn't get it from me!). He particularly enjoys helping to sweep the kitchen floor and holds the dustpan and brush. At my sister's house the other day he found her hairbrush on a side table in the living room and showed it to me. When I said (something like) 'ooh, yes, you've found a hair brush' he started trying to clean the floor with it. I thought this was very cute though I'm not sure my sister agreed.

I know boys can be very untidy in later life so I hope this continues!

My dd 2:9 was at the park playing with my nephew 1:11 and he fell over and started crying my dd ran over to him and gave him a big cuddle and kissed him on the cheek and then ran over to me and grabbed a wet wipe and while he was sitting on my lap wiped his eyes and his face and then got a clean wipe and ever so gently wiped his grazed knees. It was so adorable. After he had calmed down they went and played again and every 2 seconds she was saying "oh careful darling" Mother hen in the making

my dts (2.6) are always cleaning and tidying, they love picking up rubbish and putting it in the bin, mopping the floor, putting things back in the right place, and they are always removing the fluff on the tumble dryer filter, they also take things from the washing machine to the tumble, they even attempt to make their own beds in the mornings

Should we be posting on the Gifted and talented sectionor maybe MN will set up a special section for domestic darlings. AMYandJESS, that does sound adorable!
