2 yo making strange noises whilst watching the television

My 2yo daughter seems to be making odd grunting noises whenever she watches the tv. It seems to follow the dialogue of the on screen characters as though she's tryin to mimic what they say. Anyone else experience this? TYIA x

Yes my two year old does this too. I think thats he attempt to converse. You will be surprised how many words she will come out with at some point that are off the TV.

btw my DD is far more growly, grunty and roary than my DS ever was.

I was reading DD a bedtime story tonight and she was doing the same thing so I've kinda figured she's just going through a 'mimicking' phase.

It will evolve...you'll see soon there will be a burst.

my Ds did this a lot....copying the words that were being said on TV. It is echolalia.
