My 14 month old boy just tossed a tennis ball up in the air towards his siter. First time I have seen him do anything other than roll it and I was thrilled.

sounds good to me. children all develope at different rates dont get drawn into who's child is cleverer etc its not worth the heartache. every child is precious and gifted in different ways you cant possibly compare.

It's good until he tries it with something breakable, then it's bad.

No idea whether it's good-for-his-age though

LOL at soupdragon!

I have a gifted daughter so I am not bothered about that. It was more a case of I didn't want to embarrass myself at being thrilled at something he should have been doing months ago!!

If its the first time he's done something than of course you should be thrilled whether he should have done it 3 months ago or in 6 months time.
