Wants daddy all the time

My husband n I had a temporary separation where he saw her couple of times. Anyway, he's back now, were trying again but my 19month old wants him constantly and gets very upset whenever he leaves. During the separation she didn't ask much for him and stopped looking and when he would come see her and then it was time to go she would just say bye and that was that.

But now:
Wake up - daddy daddy daddy
When he leaves for work she cries
When she wakes from her nap - daddy daddy
All day 'daddy home? Daddy home now!'
We were going somewhere and stopped at a shop, I waited in the car with Layla while DH went in and she cried and cried yelling 'daddy! Daddy back!' Til he came back.

Is this normal? Is she simply afraid he will disappear again? She was always a mummies girl really, til I stopped BF, then she was happy between us but still more me. I can't help feeling she is scared he will not come back :(

I have twin girls, they are 17 months and twin2 is very much into her father. This started around 14 months. She cries when he leaves for work, cries if I get her up in the morning (wants her father), only he can dress/bathe her. At one point it was a complete meltdown whenever he left the room.

Things are better now and she isn't as attached to him. I put it down to the fact that he went to work everyday (I am a SAHM) and that she was worried he would leave (hence being so attached to him). I ignored it, even though it upset me. Twin1 is not remotely bothered and is more a mummy's girl.

No wise answers but perhaps she is worried he will go again? Children pick up a lot more than we think.

My 18 month old is like this and I put it down to the fact my husband works irregular hours so he never knows if Daddy will be around or not. We are trying to makes sure my husband doesn't leave without saying goodbye or where he is going and if possible when he'll be back. I'm hoping its just a phase but watching for other tips
