How tall are mum and dad?

There is a height formula in the red book.

my youngest son was always off the chart,he isnt any taller than his friends,he is 8,the health visitor told me that at a certain age,i cant remember if it was 2 or 3,that you multiply and get the adult height that would make him 6ft 4.Iam only 5 foot and my husband is 5ft 10,my hubbys brothers are all same height, one is 5ft 11,and his uncle 6ft 2 so dont know if this will be true,i hope not,i will have to stand on a chai to talk to him..

so it's likely that he will be a tall boy as his parents are tall. I wouldn't worry - it could be that he is doing his growing early and will plateau for a few months. DD started off at 60 cm (!!) and 4.6 kgs - SH is 6'2" and I am 5'8 so we expected a tall girl but not that tall! She stayed on the 99th centile for ages, but now at 16 months she is tall but not absurdly so. Can't tell you where on the chart she is as haven't had her measured in months, but judging by her peers at nursery she is one of the taller ones but not head and shoulders over the rest.

Hold off on the builders just yet . And don't worry .
