Squealing

Hiya...
My DS (20 weeks) has a habit of squealing. I used to think it was a sort of cry so id feed him, but he fusses sometimes and doesnt want it. He squeals when excited, but now he seems to just squeal because he likes the sound of himself! Is he wanting something or just being vocal? Ive been taking him out of swing/off playmat/ out of rocker when he squeals but it doesnt really sound like a bored cry that he usually does when he wants to do something else... What do I do? Thanks xxx

My DS used to squeal too - someone said to me that their voice is a muscle just like their arms, legs etc, and it needs exercise! Doesn't sound like he's unhappy - maybe just excited! He sounds like he's trying out what noises he can make. cute.

it does sound like it... but its so earpeircing! I dont want to leave him to his squealing if its just another type of cry for something... but he does seem content when he does it!

it's a phase, he'll grow out of it and start blowing raspberries instead, then you'll spend hours wiping his chin and wish the squealing would return....
