9 year old Toileting issues

My 9yo Ds often e.g. 3-4 times a week is having small accidents. I know this because his pants often smell of wee. Often his pjs too. Does anyone have experience of this?
No uti issues as far as I know. He's got some issues with dyslexia and fine motor control but is a pretty typical 9yo.
He's embarrassed about it but is insistent he's not having accidents.
I'm at a bit of a loss.

Are you sure he's just not shaking it off properly?

Hmm this is what I am wondering. Dh is circumcised so has less of a need to shake, Ds isn't. Dh said maybe that's the reason. I'll think I will remind him to give this a go.
Thanks for the advice. Not being the owner of a penis this didn't occur to me until Dh mentioned it!
