As some of you will know I was geared upto speak to ds teachers at parents evening about various issues and ask again for a referral.
Well bugger me, but didn't she get in first and suggest it to me first!
She suspects he may be dyspaxic or possibly adhd. She said the referal probably won't see any real action until September, but hooray!
We compared his report from his recent assessment day at an independent with her thoughts and she suspects it's the requirements he has that aren't being met that hindered him. She has put in place extra help with his writing, because she thinks that's also inhibiting his NC levels. He is working at 3c in reading and literacy and 3b in maths, but thinks with the right educational assessment and help (scribe, etc ) he could move up at least one sub level immediately. He is in y3.
So hooray! The relief that finally someone is listening is amazing.
