Activities for 3 year old?

Dd2 is 3.2 and will start nursery September.
While dd1 is at school I take dd2 swimming which she loves, we go to play group 3 times a week but they seem to be aimed T younger kids now, the books are a bit young for her and the jigsaws are small peg ones, we go to the park when it's dry enough and feed the ducks, we draw, do jigsaws, playdoh, paint, simple board games like lido, snakes and ladders.
I don't want to leave her at a private nursery but I'm wondering if here are other activities to do?

Do you know any other parents with children of a similar age so you can meet up for playdates? Other ideas are soft play in the wet, farm, baking, a day wandering round town including lunch out, picnics when warmer, museums. Even things like going supermarket shopping or going through the car wash can be made fun. Also check out your council website to see what activities different places offer eg near us I know there is a sing & splash session at the swimming pool, a walk followed by craft activity in a local park and much more.

I'm in a similar position but with a newborn. I've just found a local drama class for 2-5 year olds, there is also a family music class I'd like to go to but it's currently full. Apart from that it's the park and soft play. We also do bits from educational activity books line tracing letters, finding the biggest, smallest etc but only because he likes to do these. I found out about the drama class on this website.

She isn't reAlly bored at home but is getting bored at play groups now as there aren't really suitable toys there! she just does the craft.
We bake and she helps me peel and chop veg.
She would love the books to trace letters, could you give me an example title for me to order.
She has just learned to write her name, but she has just copied the formed letters so doesn't know how to write it properly.
She prefers to play with older kids, she is used to playing with dd1 (6) and talks well for her age so lay dates with similar age kids havnt gone great, she will suggest a game of playing Elsa from frozen and they just look and wonder off.

How about gym? Our local gymnastics club do preschool classes in the week. Has your children's centre got anything on offer? Our does a music group aimed at this age and another chikdrens centre nearby does swimming for you and them for just £2 and that includes snacks and drinks. Is there an outdoor playgroup nearby, that might keep her interested.

Aww she can come and play with my ds, he is 3 and always looking for someone to play elsa whilst he is kristopf! He is also getting a bit big for some of the playgroups, he goes to nursery two days a week and also enjoys a gymnastics club and music group. The rest of the time is mostly spent doing role play of some sort. Lots of dressing up outfits, dens etc.

Yes she wants to wear fancy dress everyday and her play tent is filling the living room.
She wants to do gymnastics like her sister but I haven't found a club that takes them under 4, will have another look.

Miss magnum she would love him.

There is a couple of franchises called gymtots and tumbletots round here but I use the term gymnastics loosely! We also do lots of singing and music at home. There are a few dance/ballet groups for preschoolers too.

I usually get stuck playing elsa, I so want a turn at anna but that is usually given to the obliging cat .

I was going to suggest gym too. I've just discovered 2 proper gymnastics gyms near us which do parent & child sessions. DD1 age 3.3 loves it. Free rain on trampoline, beam, mini assault courses the one we tried this morning had a bouncy castle. Didn't know they were even there until a couple of weeks ago.

Swimming? Ballet? Soft play? Park? Baking?

She has walked the beam at her sisters class and loves it, caught her doing no hand forward rolls along a pillow recently, she is very keen!!
She likes softplay occasionally but they are grimy round here.

Museums, Art galleries
