Just had a very tricky 45 mins with DD, trying to get her to choose socks and shoes, we went through every pair she owns and none were right, she was moaning and whining and being so difficult, I kept really calm but then lost my temper at her, then had to take her down to school and drop her off all red eyed and upset. I now feel awful and so guilty and worried about her being all upset and in school on her own. feeling very sad about it all now Sad

She'll have forgotten about it by first break Smile. She really will so try not to think too much about it, just give her massive cuddles when she comes out and tell her how much you missed her. Say sorry if you think it's appropriate.

How old is she?

Our dc have to wear grey socks and black shoes for school - that's the way it's been from day 1. Can you have separate things for home and school so that this doesn't become a regular reoccurrence? If not, get her to select her socks and shoes the night before.
