Toddlers with pot bellies

My dd is 2 yrs and 8 months. She has suddenly developed a pot belly, which I'm a bit worried about. She's otherwise fine.

She has been a bit constipated for the last few days and although she's managing to poo, they are firmer and she's doing several smaller poo's per day as opposed to one or two. When I press her belly it's not hard and when I tried to have a good look and feel, she burst into a fit of laughter, so she's not in any pain or anything!

Just wondered if anyone else has experience of this? Thanks

My DS1 (3) seems to get a belly just before a growth spurt - he grows out then up, and the tummy vanishes.

Perhaps that's it rather than anything else?

It sounds like something I would get checked out could be the constipation making it look like that but think its better to go to the gp in case if its a new thing.

DD has always had a pot belly. I never thought it was something to worry about...

My DS was bloated - it was dairy causing it and knock on consequence was constipation. When he did a dairy free diet (on the advice of a gastro-enterologist), it was as if he had been deflated!
