Still hair cutting at 7

I thought this phase was over but my just about to turn 7 year old daughter has just cut the crown of her hair to about 1cm long. The rest is shoulder length except for her fringe.

She has cut her fringe at least 3 times since age 4. That's how she got her fringe in the first place.

I' m so sad, it looks awful. We were already taking her to the hair dressers on Saturday.

Oh dear, when it goes suspiciously quiet there's often trouble brewing. Not sure there's an age limit to daftness!

Maybe she was trying to be helpful, as she knew she was going to the hairdressers. My friends dd did that at the same age as she was going to be a bridesmaid!

Brilliant timing Savoy, (not). When DS 'helpfully' cut his sister's fringe (48hrs before an appointment with a professional) it was so she could see.

If her birthday is round the corner OP, I guess without upsetting her you could point out how silly it is to mess about with hair and see the results on her birthday photos.

Does she want short hair?

Thanks for the replies. I've calmed down a fair bit now. We're off to the hairdressers shortly.

Does she not like her fringe?
