Hi, im a first time mum and so confused.
My baby boy has always drank his full bottle in one sitting and during the days goes 3-4 hours until next feed, then he will go from midnight until 6am. He is now 9 weeks old, since 7 werks he has been on 6oz and he always drank the full bottle in one go.The past 2 days he will only drink 3oz at a time and sometimes he wants more an hour later, and sometimes he is going 4 until he wants more. His feeding is so eratic. He isnt sleeping well at a night anymore. Hes always been a very happy content baby, would only cry for a bottle but sincr he has changed his feeding habits he has been crying so much more and struggling to settle without me being there.
My health visitor said he could be teething this early, he is drooling a little more, and obviously he seems off his food. I have looked at his gums but its difficult and they dont actually seem swollen. He seems to be putting his hands in his mouth alot and always wants his dummy. If he is teething this early im not sure what i can give him as i have teething ring etc already but he isnt old enough to be able to pick it up and put it in his mouth, i have been putting his dummys in the freezer but they dont stay cool for very long
Any advice would be great and also does this seem like teething?

could be teething - you can use a teething ring you just have to hold it in there! maybe bongela or teething crystals, speak at chemist or dr if you are unsure. calpol can be given over 2 months but be sure that it is teething pain. could be anything really so always double check with your gp
hope he gets better soon

You could try one of these www.gummeeglove.co.uk/

My DS had tooth buds at that age and I think he had discomfort from them from time to time but his first teeth didn't actually break through the gum until 5 months. I did come close to buying one of those mitts but for some reason I didn't get around to it.
