...being a parent is sooooo difficult at times! Especially a new parent like myself!

My DD is 11 wks old and for the past 24-48 hours has been a bit under the weather. She has the snuffles which, as I'm sure you other mums are more than familiar with, is making her bunged up and is affecting her sleep and a little with her feeds too. We took her to the GP earlier who said she had a viral infection too. Nothing we can do - just gotta ride it out.

She has been out of sorts the past few days, not constant crying but definitely unsettled between feeds with some periods of crying, some of which I've not been able to comfort her.

This is the thing I find SOOOOO hard - not knowing exactly how she's feeling, not knowing exactly what it is she needs and desperately wanting to 'make it all better'' for her.

It's my job to look after this little person, to ensure they are happy and healthy and whilst when I'm not being hard and unrealistic on myself I realise this, the other 23 hours of the day I do think there must be something I'm missing.

How on earth do patents cope whose children go through worse?!?!
