Sounds a bit mean calling her ’clingy’ when shes only a baby, but what I mean is she wants to be held constantly. She will play sitting or laying down if I am sat with her but often not for long before crying to be picked up. Eg she will sit playing with a toy and cry until I scoop her onto my lap and carry on playing. I cant even dream of stepping out of her sight for one second before she cries, even if I talk so she knows I’m still there. I’m sure this is normal but how.do you get anything done at this stage? And how do I make her feel comfortable that Im not leaving the earth every time I walk out of sight?

Has it been going on for long? My son was like that for about a week at 7m then his first two teeth broke through, so maybe it's teething pain?

I just make sure that I have stuff in each room that I can get on with so he can follow me around the house but I still feel like I can get on with things every now and then. He can still be like it now at 10m - sometimes if I walk behind his highchair he'll start screaming even though he knows I'm still in the room!
