help we are desperate! !

I hope someone can help me! My son is 11 months old and we have had a nightmare since he was born. He always suffered really badly with what we thought was wind. He always had inconsistent poos, hes had gastroentiritis, croup (hospitalized both times), thrush in his mouth, and endless diorreah. He has always woke up at night screamingike hes in pain and farting like ive never heard, even now. The docs have said it was acid reflux, then dairy intolerant but all without testing him. Hes such a happy baby in the day and hes my 4th so I know hes not fussy. 11months in we are at our wits end. Lastly, the last few weeks hes woke up a few night being sick and diorreah and its a potent eggy smell. Hes been up in pain the last 3 nights again screaming in agony and diarrhoea. Help!! Any suggestions? Back to the docs today for millionth time :-(

I don't know, but it sounds as if you need to insist on being referred to the hospital paediatricians, if you haven't already.

Otherwise, no advice just sympathy - your poor kid, that sounds just horrible :(

That's awful, poor little thing.

Ds had lactose intolerance and an allergy to egg protein, he's now 3 and is only allergic to egg. His symptoms were pale stinky stools, horrible wind and gut ache. He is still under the care of the allergy clinic doctors who test him every year, he has a prescription for antihistamine medicine which is necessary and invaluable if we eat out.

You need to get the doctor to refer your ds to the allergy clinic at your hospital. Don't wait for him to suggest it, tell him you'd like a referral.

Its not right for a little mite to be suffering like this
