need sleep 3 weeks old crying

my 3 weeks ild DD wakes up so much during the night I dont remember the last time I slept for stright 2 hours x I have tried everything shes a healthy baby. I dont have any family around to help just me and my partner we are going crazy x some advice how to make her sleep longer would be great thanks x its soo tiring and hard we just dont know what to do anymore xx

It is so tough - nothing can prepare you for sleep deprivation! Hang in there, it will improve as you learn about your DD.

In the meantime things I can highly recommend would be to play some white noise. If u have an iPhone (or similar) you should be able to download something.

You can also try rolling up t shirts and wedging them down the side of her Moses basket. This is partly for smell and partly to make the space in her basket feel more 'snug'. She has spent the last 9 months in a warm, cosy, aquatic world, comforted by the sounds of your heart beat and your movement. And for the last 3 weeks she's having to get used to space, air and not being close to you 24/7.

Swaddling is another recommendation if you are not already doing so as this helps to make them feel held and secure.

It will get easier and I'm sure some, if not all these things will make some difference.
