7mo not sitting at all

At what point should I start to be concerned?

She is crawling (more like army crawling/shuffling) and rolling around quite happily but she can't sit at all unsupported. She isn't showing any signs of being ready for sitting up at all. Is there anything I can do to encourage her? I know you shouldn't compare but my older Dd was sitting by 5/6 months and most other babies I know we're sitting by that age too. She's 7 months today.

I think that is well within the range of normal. I know quite a few babies that were not sitting at this age.

My dd didnt sit up until 8 months.

Hv told me that its normal anytime from 5 months to 10 months old.

My dd didnt crawl until 10 months, and wouldnt weight bear or pull herself up until 12-13 months old.

Thank you I'm glad it's OK

You would think the second time round I would have more of a clue but I still have lots of silly questions that I probably should know the answer to.

Thanks for replying Smile
