Could it be teething? Or a growth spurt? My DS whilst a fantastic night sleeper on the whole would have a fortnight every couple of months that were utter disaster sleep wise. He also would go through patches of smacking/biting etc. They always seem to result in a new tooth, his clothes not fitting from a growth spurt or a developmental leap. I found he got frustrated easily as his communication wasn't there to explain he was hurting etc. I would just try and be consistent with how you handle it and hopefully you'll be out the otherwise of the phase soon Smile

Dd 20 mths still has these weird night screams - normally they stop but occasionally she wants the cover back on/drink/dummy some nights you just have to let then cry it out (especially when very young) it does help you later
