What is this odd fidgety/crying/noisy breathing behaviour in sleep?

My 7 week LO is mixed fed, I give her bottle at 11pm and she sleeps to say 3,4 or sometimes 5 when I breast feed her, she then sleeps for another 2-3 hours but during that time she is so fidgety and noisy breathing with straining sounds etc. I think I wind her ok and oddly this is only time in whole day that she does this! Divi think she is hungry in her sleep??

My 4week old does the same thing! I'm mix feeding but do breast then top up with formula and the 1-4am sleep DS snuffles, fidgets, snores and generally wriggles around his moses basket. He is asleep and and doesn't cry but it really keeps me awake. We've tried winding, temp checks, background noise etc but so far nothing- started to think it's either part of his dream/sleep cycle or just some weird thing he does!! He does seem to wake up less settled and rested though.

My DD used to do a wiggling, writhing and grunting thing in her sleep - she was very colicky though. I used to find it was much better if I propped up her legs with a small pillow.

Doesn't matter whether breast or bottle - all babies it would seem are little fidgets and make plenty of noises!

My 10 wk old DD hadn't stopped since day 1 but from talking to other mums I'm reassured its perfectly normal and that (hopefully) they should grow out of it,

My DD has 1 middle-of-the-night feed so you'd think I should achieve sleep either side of that? Fat chance with all her fidgeting and grunting! We have decided to move her into her nursery soon because if this!

Newborns are ridiculously noisy sleepers - no one tells you that! Mine sounded like someone was squeaking a dog chew toy :)

Sleeping with a newborn in the room is like sharing a room with a piglet. They are massively noisy. DH and I used earplugs for a couple of months. It's normal.
(And no, for some reason they don't make the same noises during daytime sleeps. This is just part of their weirdness and evil plan for world domination).
