Teething baby driving me demented. She's 6.5 months has been teething since 8 weeks but the last few weeks have been horrendous.

She's not sleeping, not taking bottles, won't be put down, fights when you pick her up. Her constant twisting and whinging and lack of sleep is making me lose my patience with her.

She's had gel, pain killers, things to chew but nothing lasts for long. Her ears are sore as she keeps rubbing them, she's full of cold.

I'm stressed, tired and very sick of it. Every morning I check and still no teeth :( Ds was the same and didn't get his first tooth till 11 months old.

Have you taken her to the doctor to get her ears checked? Pulling at the ears might be a sign of teething, but it is also often a sign of an ear infection, which has the same symptoms of crying, not feeding, general grumpiness - but can be easily treated with antibiotics.

Also, have you tried baby nurofen instead of calpol? We find it works better on our ds when he is teething.
