Dd2 is still not sleeping through. Thought we had turned a corner but apparently not!

She suggests c/c and binning all known offenders (dummies)

Anybody have any experience of this at this age - or is it certain death / head rolling off?

I got rid of DS2's at 7 months because he seemed to be wanting it more and more. I waited until DH was away for a week and then went for it. We had a hard couple of days but I'm glad I did it then.
I originally gave him one because I was a thumb sucker and have sticky it out teeth because of it.

I did the dozen-dummies thing and it worked just fine - kept it until 12 months and then got rid of it without using cc. I'm a big fan of gradual withdrawal for sleep issues.

I can't remember how old but I remember that at some point, maybe a similar age, I thought about getting rid of it but a friend told me, 'ah just leave it, they soon learn to find it and put it back'. And so he did (when we filled his cot with dummies).
