How do you it?

My fairly newly mobile (both crawling and rolling ) dd (9mo ) rarely sits still during these times, I've tried giving her a toy, singing, blowing on belly, she's slightly better when sat up for getting dressed. But it is still very much a struggle, is there a trick I'm missing as don't want to get to the point where I'm having to hold her down to get her changed, therefore she's going to hate it even more.

Any tips greatly received

Ps . I don't necessarily mind her crawling round naked just not with a sh*tty bottom.

Have everything ready, clothes with buttons open, wipes out, nappy unfolded. Be as quick as you can. Maybe hang a sparkly ornament or mobile up above changing place. Do peepo with jumpers etc.
And, if you're Evil Mama like me, use this!

Can she stand? I changed my dd standing as soon as she could with her facing the closed loo seat and a book on it.

Otherwise it was holding her in place on the mat with my knee...

We sometimes double team our 2yo DS. One of us will hold him up while the other slides trousers on not so effective now he can kick his legs very well or one will do top half while other does bottom half. Speed is key and having it all ready. Or make a game out of it, try this little piggy then cover the toes with socks. I also found dressing them standing easier once on their feet, and distraction of cbeebies.

If you think she's fast now wait till she can run Grin

Thanks for the advice! The dressing part isn't so bad of she's sitting or standing so will continue to do that!

The putting nappy on part is still a struggle, so may to resort to pinning her down joke
