Dd is 9 months old, she's my pfb so I am just after a little reassurance as I'm not sure when she should be doing things.

She can roll from her back to her front, and from her front to back (but only in one direction which ends in angered wails when she gets stuck!)

She can sit if you plonk her down in that position quite happily for a while before she gets bored/tired and falls backwards or sideways but she can't get herself into a sitting position.

When she's on my lap she can pull herself up to sitting but she can't do it from laying on the floor/bed.

There's no sign of her crawling or cruising yet but if you stand her up and hold onto her hands she turns around in a circle using you to keep herself steady.

Does this all sound normal? When I meet people and they ask her age I always get 'oh I bet she's crawling.' She's not even close I don't think!

I have 2dcs, Dd was my pfb and didn't show any signs of crawling until about 9 months and just did it by about 10 months, she sounds very similar to Dd in terms of development but my Dd was very quick with speech and fine motor skills (she is still very articulate and artistic at 5 but if you asked her to climb a wall she'd have no chance)
Ds however is 7 months and is sitting up unaided, rolled at birth (it was very strange) and he is just starting to crawl. He is nowhere near as vocal as Dd was but he's starting to say a few words.
They are both so different but within normal range. Your Dd sounds absolutely fine to me. Don't forget, some babies never crawl and just go straight to walking.

Thank you. She is always chattering away to herself and I don't feel there's anything wrong but I keep expecting her to do things as people are saying she should so I end up thinking hurry up! I'm sure I'll regret thinking that when she's into everything!
