Should I stop weaning?

I would put this in the weaning section but it's not very active.

I started weaning my DS at 20 weeks. For the first 3 weeks he seemed to really enjoy it and ate most things I gave him and good quantities (2 - 3 ice cubes of purée mixed with baby rice and formula). But this week he hasn't wanted anything and cried until I take him out the high chair. I'm now doubting starting before 6 months! Is this normal? The HV suggested I offer him finger food but he's not interested in that either. Should I stop for a few days and start again or persevere? Any advice appreciated!

could he be teething? Have you tried feeding at different times of the day? There would be no harm in stopping for a few days if he is getting upset
