DD 21 month has been resisting going to sleep until about 10pm at night. DH and I feel we have no us time as a result and pretty much go to bed once she's asleep, having had no evening to chill.
She will usually sleep for a good two hours around 2pm (not before). We are lucky that she also wakes up late, around 8am, but sometimes up to an hour later (nice at weekends!).
We'd like her to go to bed earlier and don't mind the earlier wake up as a result. We are up for work b4 then most day anyway.
Yesterday we skipped her lunchtime nap and she was fine, then slept 8.30pm-8am, which was a result!
I'm worried though that she needs a sleep during the day (PFB), I read that children should have a nap until they start school. Obviously I don't want to do her any harm but changing her routine & am aware that if she is sleep deprived it may only start to show after a few days.
Has anyone else done this? Results?
