Wide awake after middle of the night feed

My 7 week old DD has recently started being wide awake after her middle of the night feed!

Nothing has changed in terms of what I or my DH do and we ensure that we are both quiet, not talking to her, no stimulation and feeding her in the dark (with just a very faint light).

It's therefore taking much longer to settle her back to sleep.

Any suggestions?

If mine isn't crying I just put him back in his cot awake and leave him too it - it's boring so he falls asleep seeing me even quite and not talking keeps him awake longer.

I do similar but mine is a lot older. If dc is awake I put back in the cot awake and see how it goes. My dc also gets more agitated when they can see me.

Mines 17weeks but I've always done it.
