7 month old screaming during night / sleep routine out of the window

My 7 mo DD sleep routine has completely gone out of the window.

Then she wakes around 7am. During the day she cat naps for 10 minutes or so at a time, even when put in her cot she's wide awake in no time. So she doesn't really get any sleep during the day.

She usually has a bottle around 6.30 - 7pm and will doze off and will go to bed or will settle ok if she's not fallen asleep during bottle.

She has been waking up really screaming and will not settle again until 10.30 ish, and over the last couple of nights she has been screaming during the night too. I Try to settle her in the cot but she's just too upset.
She will only go to sleep on my shoulder and screams every time I put her down.

DH is a driver & has to be up at 2.30 am so I'm conscious of waking him, to do controlled crying (obvs don't want him driving really tired)

I have tried to get her back into a routine but she doesn't want to sleep during the day & screams at night.

Any ideas ?

Could she be teething? With ds1 he was a champion sleeper but if he was teething all bets were off. He be a nightmare to settle in the day, then would wake quickky & at night would start waking up needing cuddles.

Agree sounds like teeth - try a dose of baby nurofen before nap time during the day am see if that helps?

You need to rule out medical causes eg teething, reflux, ear infection etc. have you introduced any new foods? Eg raw cows milk, soya etc since weaning? Has she had a cold?

Thank you all. Smile

She's got her bottom two teeth but it must be her teeth, there must be more on the way. She's got one rosy red cheek and a really sore bottom today. She even got excited when I got the teething gel out !

She's had a couple of naps today as she's been so tired from not sleeping for the last couple of days and we've only had one screaming session since bedtime, fingers crossed we'll all get a good nights sleep.

Happy new year Wine
