Hi any advice welcome dd1 who is 10 is a bright young girl with lots to talk about amongst her friends but just recently (maybe last 6 months) only seems to talk about boys which is kind if OK I understand this will happen but the side that I am not enjoying is it's constant and she doesn't talk about anything else.We have recently been on holiday twice, she has hobbies out of the house etc but all she will go on about is BOYS! It is great that she would like a little boyfriend but has even seemed to just give up when one didn't show an interest to chose another victim- please tell me society hasn't changed that much or am I now really behind the times?
I would just like her to appear more well rounded with other strings to the bow if you know what I mean?
is there a way to steer this or is this it?.. I am just thankful that she hasn't asked to bring one home YET!! I also dislike the fact that she seems to fall out with her friends about men,in my world men shouldn't come between good friendships!! Am I teaching it wrong!!!!

Don't know the answer to this one sorry. Things do seem to have changed though, DS is in y5 and lots of the girls talk about boys, lots of the children in the class are pairing off and sone of the girls are even having their hair dyed.

Will watch with interest.
