Concerns for my 7 month old development

Hey i have some concerns for my sons development. he's 7 months old and still cannot roll from his back to tummy (He can do tummy to back) or crawl yet. However he can sit unaided, his hand and eye co-ordination is great and he's a big chatterbox! I'm just really worried why he can't still roll over - is this "normal"???

Sound fine to me. He is only 7 months old so has plenty of time to do everything else you gave ousted

All babies are different my dd was a late roller/crawler/walker but is running round now at 20 mths - even now her friend who is only 1 month older speaks and counts to 10, my dd has no words

Sounds good to me. My eldest was never much of a roller and 2 of mine were pretty much stationaryuntil about 11 months.

Sounds fine to me too. DD1 rolled at 7 mo and didn't even pull up until 11 mo. However, she started to walk at bang on 13 mo and has developed completely normally. She was (still is!) the type of child who would not.even attempt anything until she knew she could do it - maybe your ds is the same? He's honing his skills for you Smile

I had this very conversation with my own family this Christmas!

DS is coming up to 7 months next week and still can't sit unaided or roll. I googled it and all websites seemed to agree that you can't really expect it until even as late as 8-9 months. Even then you have to take premature babies into consideration.

One other point, which I think applies to is, is that baby doesn't get much opportunity to practise. He's either in a high chair, or a jumparoo, or a car seat, or being fed/cuddled/bathed or sleeping, and so we need to help him by making it possible for him to have a go!

And I'm not worried about him because I can tell he's fine.
