DS 15 mths and not pointing at all

My DS is 15 months old and doesn't point at all. I mentioned this to the HV who has now worried me more as she said he should be pointing at this age. I was already worrying I suppose, but thought she would reassure me. She asked if he had any repetitive behaviour which he hasn't or if was OK with a change of routine etc which he is. She said to give him the summer then come back if he still isn't pointing or if I am concerned. He doesn't say much, Maaaa for Mummy, Daaaa for Daddy, Boo and Row (so I will do row the boat with him) I also have a DD of 3 and they play loads together and apart from the pointing I didn't really have any concerns. Any one else got a 'late pointer'. Do you think I am worrying unnecessarily? Any comments would be appreciated.

Have a look here if you're concerned - jimjams always rates the CHAT test.

Thanks for that tortoiseshell. I had a look and he does all the things except one question from each section which would put him at medium risk to be autistic. BUT, he is only 15 months, so I need to be patient and give him a chance. I am hoping he is just a late developer!! At the moment if he wants something instead of pointing he stands near it and sort of runs on the spot. Maybe thats a start! I was getting concerned as the younger babies of some of my friends are pointing a lot which makes me notice my DS lack of pointing.
