'Miiiiiiiiiiiiine!'

Morning,

Anyone any strategies for a two year old screeching 'miiiiiiine' and clutching things to his chest. Often the item is his anyway; sometimes they are just items he's found like my bra off the floor this morning . He's an only child so I think he's picked it up from the CM's (who I know would deal with sharing issues brilliantly).

It makes him sound like a right brat!

Do we ignore it? Challenge it? Wait for it to pass? Never sure whether to reassure that items are his. Or if to always reiterate ideal of sharing. Or if to just ignore and hope it passes.

Any thoughts?

if you need the item try to swap it with something else

if you don't leave him to it.

if it causes problems with others - that would really depend on the situation.
and if it his thing don't make him share it. he obviously feels a bit insecure about something nowadays - I'd try to find out what it is.
(probably something totally silly or innocent!)

if it's something he might as well have just say " yes it is yours. you are looking after it nicely!"

that will reassure him
