Did speech therapy help your child's physical aggression?

We are having anger / aggression issues with DS (3.2). He is being referred for speech and language therapy on the recommendation of his nursery director and also because I mentioned to her he was physically aggressive with his younger sibling at home and can often push other children around. His speech isn't terrible but it's not as good as others and there are certain sounds he cannot say. What I really want to sort is the behaviour and the suggestion is that if he can communicate better the aggression might stop. However he does have the vocabulary to say what's wrong so I'm not sure why he can't put it into practice. Any ideas?

didn't really help my ds(12) and we were referred to OT too which didn't do much but stress me out. To be honest the best thing we did was send him to tae kwando lessos which helped (helps!) him direct his anger. He is still very quick tempered but knows how to focus it.

That's funny. I had actually thought Kung fu would be up our lad's street in a few years' time. Thanks!

No experience but watching with interest because I have an angry boy of exactly the same age with what may possibly be a bit of a speech delay...

No, sorry.
Also didn't change the temperament of my placid child.
