Get up, nap and go to bed?

Just wondering what our day is like compared to others!

Mine is generally up between 5-6 (tho we have just had a week of 4:30's!) naps around 11.30 for an hour and a half and in bed asleep for 7 and sleeps through. But hoping his nap may get a bit later/longer at some stage!

My DD wakes up anywhere between half 6 and half 7 (usually nearer to half 6 unfortunately but we get the odd bonus!).
She goes for a nap around half 12 and usually sleeps at least 1.5 hrs, occasionally 2 hrs and very occasionally I need to go and wake her up - I try to make sure she is awake by 3 so she is tired at bedtime.
Bedtime is around 7pm, although it's probably closer to half 7 by the time she's asleep.
I think there are so many things that affect their sleep patterns it's hard to keep it consistent - teething, how active they have been that day, new developments, over-tired, temperature...all seem to make a difference!

Mine is a freak that needs no sleep

Wakes at 7ish

Naps at midday- 1 1/2 hours

Bed at 9.30 to 10.00 Shock

Sometimes he has a nap at 6.00pm for an hour or so. Often he doesn't though.

IceNoSlice · 08/12/2013 07:30

Very similar

Bed at 7-7.15pm, usually sleeps through but we've had a lot of nights recently where he has woken at about 3pm (I think the molars are coming Sad).

Wakes around 6am - sometimes 5.30, sometimes 6.45.

Nap starts 11.30-12 ish, lasts 1.5 to 2.5 hours.

Night wake at 3AM not pm, obv.

IpsyUpsyDaisyDo · 08/12/2013 07:37

I wake her up at 7am, she naps at nursery anywhere between 45-90mins at around midday, in bed by 7.30pm. She doesn't usually wake in the night, though teething does disrupt things...

DS is up between 5-6:30. But can be 4:30 sometimes.
Naps at 9:30 and at 2ish for about 45mins.
Sometimes only has one nap at about 11 again about 45-1hr.
Bed at 7 asleep by 10past normally.

PollyIndia · 08/12/2013 18:29

Similar here - bed at 7, wakes between 630 and 730 am and naps 1-3. Occasionally wakes in the night but settles if I go in and pat him.

Judyandherdreamofhorses · 08/12/2013 18:38

Wakes 5.30-6am. Wants to nap by 9.30am, but we're trying to keep him going longer as he'll only nap once in the day. So usually a nap 10.30-12 ish. Bed 6.30-7pm.

Thanks all... Good to see we are the 'norm' rather than the exception!!

Seems a lot of the 'your toddler should be sleeping x much' numbers are quite high in reality!

Ah yes the 'toddlers should sleep 12 hours overnight and have a two hour nap during the day’ theory. Yeah right.

Ours is up 5.30-6am, naps for 1 hour max anytime between 12-2pm and goes to bed around 7-7.30pm. She is invariably the first to wake at nursery and is still bouncing full of energy at 6pm when normal toddlers are flagging. She is a non-sleeping machine and has been like that since 3 weeks old.

Please can anyone with a toddler who wakes after 7 and naps for 2 hours just not post. It makes me weep.
