Does TV affect your children's behaviour?

Hi there - do you find that watching certain tv shows affects your child's behaviour? There have been concerns that the increasing popularity of kids cartoons have made children more prone to hyperactivity and bad behaviour - sometimes even violence in extreme cases. Would you let your children watch violent cartoons such as Tom and Jerry? Or hyperactive zany cartoons such as Adventure Time: I'd love to hear from you guys what you think

Why do you want to know ?

My dds laugh like drains at tom and jerry, loony toon etc - the only annoying side effect is the annoying tweety bird voice dd1 puts on afterwards Smile

Yes.

My 4 year old son watched Looney Tunes. He then went on Acme.com, bought some dynamite and 1ton of bird seed. Then he set a trap for our budgie.

Panzee that's nothing. Think yourself lucky. DS1 put a goldfish bowl on dd2's head, held her underwater and called her Sandy Grin
