7.30 bedtime. 1 hour nap, can go upto 2 but sleeps longer at night on 1 hour at 1 pm

DS is almost two and he's been having one afternoon nap after lunch for anything from 1-3 hours long and sleeps from 7.30pm at the latest (bed time is usually 7pm), and wakes up about 6.45am.

RicStar · 25/11/2013 21:50

Nap 1.5hr from 1.30-3 (sometimes a bit shorter or a bit earlier). in bed @ 7.15 asleep.... By 7.45 normally (chatting to her toys in cot etc til then) awake 6.30-7am.

Wake 7am. Nap 12.30-2.30. Bed at 7pm.

Ds is 20 mo but it's not changed since 18 mo so ill post:

Up at 6 nap about 12 for an hour and 15 (you can set your clock by him!) then bed 6/6.30ish.

I've tried knocking this all on so it's up at 7, bed at 7, but he's having none of it!

Mortified - ours was similar.

But dd2 has been waking in the night, so tired in the morning. So going back to sleep until 8/8:30am. Then naps about 12:30/1:30 for two hours. Then bed at 9pm ish. When usually 7:30.

Hers and big sis routine is always altered so I'm finding it hard,

We take dd1 to her hobby Mondays and back at 6:45. So hard to wind down for 7:30. Tues nothing, we'd nothing, Thursday nothing much, swimming Friday so again harder to wind down. Weekends always seem later as we visit family. So I just can't seem to get the right balance.

And dd2 naps have to alter to dd1 preschool on tues. And then we'd-fri they're different again as we don't finish playgroups until 1ish. Then if she has a big nap, she won't go to bed until 9ish. Both actually. Even though dd1 doesn't nap anymore and hasn't for a while.

Bedtime routine is out the window lately too as we're trying to sort the house out ready for dd3 arrival in 9 weeks'!

Do you out your dc's to bed together successfully? Different ages?

Mine are 3 and 18m but 18mo just refuses point blank. It's the issue of either not being cuddled or laid with and also she just don't like to settle in bed. Once she's asleep it's fine. It's the settling part she won't just go off with a bottle/ dummy/ pat
