Night nappies 4 year old

My 4 year old still needs nappies at night, maybe only one night out of 10 he is dry, he's been investigated for bladder issues as has to go urgently and allow so paediatrician happy he'll just grow out of it.

Until then I need if enough night time nappies, pampers size 6 are too small, pampers pyjama pants leaked and huggies dry nites have left his bum red raw with eczema after about a weeks use.

Does anyone know of any skin friendly big night nappies that don't leak? He's only about 40lb but pampers size 6 were right at the edges.

It may be worth trying a few different brands, size 6 in boots is tiny compared to a size 5 (not even 5+) in tescos. I hate pampers so don't know how they compare but worth a try maybe

How big would reusables go?

Agree with pmgkt about different sizes in different brands. We never got on with pull-ups - they leaked so often.

Asda own brand seem to be well rated, as do either Aldi / Lidl.
Were on tesco - its that or branded round here.

We use dry nights. Age 3-5 £3 for 10 in tesco. DS is 4.9 and nowhere near night trained

dd2 (almost 4 but the sized of a 6 yo) is in tesco own sized 6 or better in Lidl "Toujours" pull up size 6 (cheaper, drier) but not always in stock.

Thanks all, I've ordered some naty ones as they say upto 55lb but not sure when they'll come, have been putting dry nites on and plastering his bum in aveeno to stop it rubbing but it can't be very nice.

Will maybe have to buy a pack if Tesco or something, he could only wear pampers as a baby as all others seemed to give him a rash, not as bad as the eczema now though.

Naty Natur baby care nappies.

They are natural ones which don't have any of that gel stuff that the others have. They hold loads (of wee).

Both mine used these. They are fab. My two were always nappy rash free.

And best thing is that they are fully compostable and bio degradable. Ie they will turn to mulch in less than six months.

And come in size 6. They come up reasonably big. My 4yo DD currently has the D&V bug and in bed tonight is wearing a pair of my 2yo DSs size 5s comfortably. She is circa 37 lbs.

Thanks MrsFlorrock have ordered some as we live rurally so not much choice but I'm going to york tomorrow so will have to get some and stock up online if ok! I used the size 1's and 2's for my 5 month old and they were great.

DD is 4 & has autism & is still in nappies full time.

Out of the widely available nappies, Tesco 6+ were the biggest we came across.

Thanks WandaOff I saw those will give them a try if the naty ones are no good, managed to get size 6 for £5.25. Our tesco is tiny so only have a few packs of nappies so will have to order online most of the time so Anazon is easiest.

Waitrose (essential range) and sainsburys little ones do big size 6 nappies. Might be worth a try.

If you fancy trying reusables, little lamb size 3 would fit and are sooo skin friendly and fluffy :) we only use cloth at night now with 2.2yo ds and wash roughly every 3-4 days. Recently bought our size 3 nappies (long bottom...) and offer on £25 for 5 on fill your pants website.

Can give more advice re cloth if you want it :)

Update, changed to naty ones, skin is nearly healed and since using them he's got up every night to the toilet and been dry!

Complained to huggies and they are sending me a voucher to get more which is pointless, Hope its a general huggies one to get wipes as won't be getting any more dry nites.

My original reason for using the natur babycare ones after DD was born was actually irritation rather than the Eco credentials.

I have a terrible time with fanjo irritation from pant liners and pad etc (sorry TMI). All those super absorbent brands seemed to suck so much moisture away from the area I ended up with thrush and cystitis whenever I used them.

Obv I eventually found natural ones which work for me.

So when DD was born I didn't want to expose her bum or bits to that super absorbent toxic stuff. So I found the Naty Natur babycare.

They are all I have used for both DD and DS. DD is 4 and toilet trained so no longer uses but DS still does. Neither have had nappy rash or issues. Obv could be plain old luck but I do credit those nappies.

Thanks MrsFlorrick am tempted to swap back to them with my 5 month old too, been using pampers since he grew out of size 1's but he seems to have quite dry skin too.
