Sick of baby sick!

Second whole outfit change for me today... My baby brings up do much sick, we are both constantly getting soaked. She is 8 weeks.

If her tummy is full why does she still eat? Then after she is sick she seems hungry again, any ideas?

Also those who have had very sicky babies when does it stop? All the washing, changing clothes and time spent on wasted feeding is getting me down. Some days seem worse than others but can't see any pattern.
Thanks

I read (somewhere, in my new mum haze) that it's not so much that they don't know when they are full, but more that their stomach sphincters are immature. So sometimes they just chuck it all up. It gets better week by week. I think that 8 weeks was the worst for me - I remember a night when I had to change twice, plus all my bedclothes as well. Nice!

It will get better soon Smile

Have you been to the GP? It could be reflux, which can be managed I believe, though I'm no expert.

Hi sunshine, my baby is 6 months old and has had reflux since she was born. She is a very 'sicky' baby but continues to thrive and gain weight. So it's not wasted feeding. As your baby grows it will get better. I've been to the GP and spoken to the HV countless times but as the reflux doesn't hurt her and she's gaining weight they won't prescribe anything as the meds won't help with the sick. It's just something she'll grow out of. I do feel your pain though, some days it really gets me down but as long as your baby isn't suffering that really is the main thing.
