7yo and 4yo so badly behaved in public, new school connection?

Thanks in advance for any insights, tried searching forum but no joy.

Our kids have always been spirited and prone to boisterous behavior but of late it has become bad, especially in public.

Specific examples will be rolling around on the floor in a cafe laughing and egging each other on while observers look on. I have to physically remove one of them.

Another time was recently in a restaurant, again it is the two of them firing off each other and becoming almost hysterical.

My son started the same school as his sister in September and I'm thinking that their behaviour has become worse since then. I know that my son and his friends annoy his sister.

I wonder if anyone has experience of this and if it is the fact that they are now interacting so much more in a different way that is causing this.

Our friends are subtly refusing to have them for play dates now because when they get into the mood they are uncontrollable without physical intervention.

Anyone ideas?

Do they usually go to playdates together? I wouldn't have thought either one's friends would want a sibling tagalong.

They sound lively - at least they aren't fighting/screaming/throwing things!

they fight, she screams - not much throwing
