Hi there i am having a nightmare with a 6 year old boy at the moment. For the last few weeks bedtime, pick ups its all NO, WONT, HIT I loose my rag and shout! This evening we had a complete melt down over getting changed from kung fu - 20 mins later after him throwing his uniform at me, hitting me etc he gets on a jumper and then eventually a trouser! We then have an argument about putting away a pe kit. I then got cross and hissed at him. In the car on the way home we had a chat and i asked him why and he has no idea but he said he would try to be good. Any ideas?

Could be a testosterone surge, which I am told makes boys temporarily more aggressive, unreasonable and unable to hear you ranting at them! Keep being consistent with your boundaries and if you don't already, use a visual reward system (chart, marble jar etc)
