hello my beautiful little daughter is 23 weeks old this week , she was a big girl when born she weighed 10lbs 5oz and she has a good appetite as you'd imagine so we started weaning a couple of weeks ago with health visitors advice she's doing well with it all and coping well with some different tastes she has things like yoghurt, milky rusk and pureed food (shop bought jars too) , im nervous about the next step as things have changed since I had my last children and now they recommend finger foods earlier than with my other two. My second child didn't do very well with the whole weaning stage and would vomit food back up that had the slightest lumps in. Can anyway recommend food/meals I can start to give my daughter over next few weeks.
Thanks

We did baby led weaning so gave her all kinds of finger foods to try from 6months. The easiest stuff to start off with was:

Banana
Avacado
Sweet potato
Carrot (boiled sticks but we also tried raw grated for her to pick up)
Broccoli
Courgette
Mashed potato/ cheesy mashed potato
Soft fruits - like peach, plum, strawberry
Eggy bread (you need to make sure it's really well cooked though)
Pasta shapes - plain or with tomato sauce
Grated cheese
Hummus and pitta bread

It was quite messy and not a lot went in her mouth to start with! She seemed to really enjoy it and got the hang of it pretty quickly thoug

Thanks :-)
Just makes me nervous this stage, the fact that they can cough and choke on the food.
