7mo routine changing - what's yours?

Hi. I've increased my son's meals from 2 to 3 today, so timings of feeds have changed slightly to the following:
6.30am - bottle
7.30am - breakfast. Nap around 8am for 1 hour
10.30am - bottle
12.00 - lunch. Nap around 1pm for 1.5 hours
2.30pm - bottle
5pm - dinner
6.45pm - bottle and bed
What I'm worried about though is that he's going to be really tired by the end of the day - when he was having 2 meals and 5 bottles he'd have a bottle at 1pm then sleep from around 2-3.30pm, so now he's going to have to stay awake from around 2.30pm to 6.45pm. It's already a hard task to keep him happy until bedtime so I'm wondering if this is going to be even more of a struggle for him.

Should I try to fit in a short nap before 5pm dinner? What do you do?

Thanks
x

He goes to bed early which is nice 6:45. If he can stay awake from 8:30 am nap until nap at 1:00 he should be o.k. what I think you may find as he gets a little bit older is that his morning nap will get shorter -then cut out completely...then he will have a nice long afternoon nap. Hopefully 2-1/2 hours.

sounds like he is on a good schedule though

My 7mo routine:

6-6.45 wake up
7am bottle
8am breakfast
9am nap for 1 hr
10am snack
12 noon lunch
1pm nap 1.5-2 hrs
3-3.30 bottle
5.30 dinner
7.30 bottle and bed (asleep between 7.45-8pm)

I put her to bed a bit later as she sleeps through but only 11 hrs. So to save my early mornings...!

Thanks both. I have tried making bedtime a bit later but he still wakes up really early, especially since the clocks went back!
Last night he was quite knackered by bathtime, but I'm going to try and put his nap back to 1.30ish to see if making it slightly later helps him a bit.

My 7mo is only just dropping his third nap, so some days he still has one at 4pm if he hasn't slept well at lunchtime. He's a bit squally on my lap at the moment because he didn't have one today. I'll feed him to sleep at about 6.

Foodwise he tends to have what we have when we have it - so today he had a couple of mini wheats at breakfast, a bit of toast with pumpkin butter at snack time, a piece of hummus & lettuce sandwich at lunch, a bit of scone at teatime and some scrambled egg and bacon at supper. Tiny quantities are going in each time of course (I don't do purees) but he loves sitting with us and having a go.
