Dd and I had and awful tummy bug and started feeling better about 2-3 days ago, iv returned to eating as normal after a day or so of feeling off. Dd won't eat anything. She won't even try to eat. She kept nothing down for 4 days and became a little dehydrated but kept her on dioralite.
All she's eaten today is a few spoons of porridge a couple of strawberries and a bite of a sandwich.
She's lost 4lb in 6 days. She's gone from 2st 9 to 2st 5lb and looks awful (she was very slim to begin with)
What do I do?

Would she drink milkshakes? Id' get her something like that...even from mcdonalds....or make my own with icecream, cream and strawberries....and ice.

She does sound tiny poor little thing.

it can take them a wee while to get back to normal. Would she eat ice cream. ice lollies, etc? All you can do is offer food, keep up the fluids and give it time as you can't force her to eat.

Agree with the others, just keep offering and if she refuses don't make a fuss. Agree that a trip to MacDonalds might help too. My dd was very ill for several weeks last winter and we were all very worried about her. Had to resort to MacDonalds a few times just to get some calories in her.

Sorry iv abandoned the thread! Just thought I'd update. Couldn't even get her to suck a lolly pop yesterday! She was just refusing food and I will admit I did end up making her eat the little food she eat yesterday (I know I'm not proud of myself it's just so hard to watch her so thin)
Today she's woken up hungry, eaten a bowl of porridge,a yoghurt, a bowl of soup and a few of Yeh Halloween sweets she didn't get to eat! So glad to see her eating.
Thanks everyone
