My two go to bed ok (although ds is taking longer to settle) but they were up every half hour last night between 12.30 and 3.30 - hot and uncomfy and disturbing each other. They are 6 and 3. I feel deranged with tiredness today - and anticipate a very fraught bedtime tonight.

My DD is a lot younger than yours (15 months) but has been up late the last few nights. Her normal bedtime is about 8.30-ish, but Monday we didn't get her off to sleep until 10.15! Last night was a bit better, at 9.30pm. Her nap has got later during the day too. It's hard work. The only way I can get her off to sleep is to sit and cuddle her with the fan blasting directly at us!

how quiet is the A/C unit Megg? DS is such a light sleeper that a fan has been waking him regularly this week, but the room is still too warm

I have the same problem, my dd usually asleep by 8.15 is up till 9.30 or 10 now-- and still wakes up at 7
She is shattered!

SoMuchToBits · 05/07/2006 16:37

Mine still sleeps like log, despite hot weather (think he takes after me), but a friend complained yesterday that all of hers were awake until about 11pm, and they are normally asleep by 8pm.

ComeOVeneer · 05/07/2006 16:38

I know what you mean Lisalisa my dd (4) isn't getting to sleep much before 9.30 atm and is regularly coming into our room in the night stripped off and complaining it is too hot

Mercy · 05/07/2006 16:38

Same here. ds aged 2 went to bed at 8.30 the other night (normally goes at 7.30 ish). Woke up after a few minutes and was up until 10. dd aged 5 has been going to bed a bit later than normal but keeps waking up in the night.

There's nothing more I can do; they both have fans, have blackout curtains/blinds, windows slightly open, attic door propped open.

I'm exhausted!

can you please give us some details - make, price etc?

DS's room is right under the eaves and has two outside walls (and the water expansion tank in a cupboard in it) so hot in summer, chilly in winter
