Just had day from hell with DD (4.5), OK she's excited at introductory day for reception today, but she [a] escaped through a hole in the school's fence (which shouldn't be there but still...), [b] led a bunch of kids running out of the schoolyard into the road, and [c] I've just caught her leaning out of her bedroom window to 'say hello' to someone. So I've screamed like a lunatic in front of 90 parents (twice) and now had to put her into her room for 5 minutes over the window incident. She's also been more rude and defiant than usual. Any suggestions? She turns a deaf ear to speeches and ignores even my loudest "scary voice". We're using a star chart for sleep problems right now and it's working, but that's reard for good behaviour - no idea of how to deal with stuff that's this bad.
