Dd has just turned 9 and always has amazed me by her maturity (she puts me to shame sometimes when I get in a strop!). She doesn't make big deals out of things, is very easy going but not a walkover.
Anyway as I said she's just had her 9th birthday. She came home from Brownies with a special birthday badge, for an 8 year old!! She thought it was funny and said it would've been rude to say actually I'm 9!
Don't really know why I'm posting. I guess I just feel rather proud of her.
Thanks for reading!

sounds like she has a fanastic attitude to life and a great sense of humour, you must be so proud

moondog · 30/06/2006 22:05

What an utterly charming child she sounds.
Will no doubt be a top level diplomat.

Not my kids as such but teach kids of the same age and I'd be bloomin' impressed if any one of them reacted that way! Very grown up and you deserve to be very proud of her - what a star!

thats a really mature thing for a child of that age to do, my dps sis is around the same age and i would hate to think of the tantrum she would have if this happened.

you should be a very proud mummy!

unicorn · 30/06/2006 22:16

motherinferior · 30/06/2006 22:17

What a total sweetie she sounds. No wonder you're proud of her.
