should I be concerned about DD's lack of teeth?

DD is 16 months old and has just 6 teeth which she got when she was about 7/8 months old.

She's eating fine, chatting loads etc so I'm not worried really but I just wonder if this is normal.

TIA

I wouldn't worry, dd2 is 14 months and has only 4 chompers ! they do say the later they come the better they are but I am not sure if that is true !

DD is the same age and has 7 teeth, with 2 others just coming through.

My ds did'nt get his first tooth til he was 12 months.

I was talking to my dentist last week about different topics and he said he'd just had a referral for an 18mth with no teeth. He wasn't sure why 'cos a) they come when they come and nothing he can do and b) if they don't come his treatment plan starts at 10yrs old. So I say 6 teeth sounds good!

sounds fine to me. Ds's teeth came late and he still hasn't lost any yet (he's 6) - the dentist says this is probably because they came a bit later than average.

dd is 13m and has 4 (well, the top 2 aren't even fully down yet!)

thanks all. It's just another one of those things then huh, it'll happen when it happens and there is bugger all you can do about it .

dd1 got her first tooth at 15 months. The first 4 took ages to come through but then the rest came through quite quickly.
